Brief History and Profile  

The Punjab Government provided palatial buildings like the First Foundersí Day 11th April 1960 Secretariat and the Guest House of ex-Nabha rulers and land to the school. It also gave substantial financial help.

At present, the school has a strength of 950 boys and girls hailing from Punjab and other states and a number of NRIs children.

 With the passage of time additional facilities and buildings were provided, namely Staff Colony (1962), Swimming Pool (1964), Sham Bagh Houses for senior students (1970), School Auditorium (1973), School Guest House (1995), High Rise Water Tanks (1997), Junior School Mess (1998), New Residential Blocks (2000) and Generator facilities.

Three overhead bridges (2003) to join the senior school building with the senior houses and with the middle houses were constructed along with a new Basketball Court(2000), Multi-purpose Sports Complex(2001) and Squash courts (2003).

Keeping in step with the demands of the changing times, the school management started the girls hostel in the junior school. From the very beginning there has been a very encouraging response from the parents. At present there are 100 boarder girls and there is an ever increasing demand for more admissions.
It's our strong conviction that keeping in mind the glorious traditions of the past and the dedication and commitment of the school administration, the Punjab Public School, Nabba will continue making an immense contribution in the field of education . Mr.Jagpreet Singh is the present Headmaster of the school. He has a rich experience of 23 years in the field of education and administration. Due to his achievements in the field of education, sports and extra co-curricular activities, he has been given the reigns of The Punjab Public School,Nabha.

Mr.Jagpreet Singh has a vast overseas experience. He went to Eton College, U.K. from April to July 1993. He participated in the Sydney Cricket Festival at King's School, Australia in 1995 with Mayo College "First Eleven". He also participated at the Milo Squash Jr.Championship at Kuala Lumpur & Penang Open, Malaysia with the Mayo College Squash Team in May 2003, May 2005, May 2006 and May 2007.

Mr.Jagpreet Singh was awarded the Best Teacher Award in the year 2001 by the Chief Justice of Rajasthan. He was again awarded the Best Teacher Award on 5th September, 2003 by the Lions Club, Ajmer. He was also declared the Best NCC Cadet of Rajasthan.

Mr.Jagpreet Singh has taken over the reigns of The Punjab Public School, Nabha with a vision. According to him, "I wish to lend impetus to communication skills, a fillip to enthuse children to communicate creditably in English. I also wish to cultivate a general sense of grooming children so that they can develop pleasant manners and etiquettes. I hope to create an atmosphere of holistic, multidimensional and adaptable education which would be a perfect blend of rich and varied traditions of the past and techno savvy world of today"
